In this game development vlog we'll talk about how to make a viral game. I'm not exactly a virality expert, but I'd like to share my limited game design expertise with you anyways.

Making a viral game and making a popular game are two entirely different things. Developing a viral game means a lot of people know your game while making a popular game means a lot of people play and enjoy your game.

The question I want to answer is just: How do we design for virality? How can you make your game go viral on the internet? How can get big influencers like streamers, Youtubers and Let's players to play your game.

I came up with the following four points that are the most important factors for making a viral game everybody knows about:
- It should be memorable. It should be easy to remember the look and the name of your game.
- It should be watchable, so people enjoy watching videos and streams of your game online.
- It should be attention grabbing, so more people notice your game. On top of that this should help content creators to get more views.
- Finally it should also be shareable. Getting a lot of shares and word of mouth is essential for going viral.

Please keep in mind that I'm not a super successful game designer / game developer yet. I'm just like sharing my thoughts and hopefully helping you on your game development journey a bit.

The game I'm talking about in this video is "Will You Snail?", a crazy rage game about a snail fighting an AI. It has some potential to go viral and reach quite a couple of players, but it all depends on my game design execution now. We'll see if I manage to make it go viral. Probably not. :D

Also expect a bit of craziness and off-topic entertainment stuff in this vlog / dev log. Have fun and let me know what you think
